Campus Visits
-Thiyóšpaye Family Housing
Thiyóšpaye is the Lakota word for extended family—a reminder that children grow and thrive when they’re surrounded by the love and support of their family and community.
To help your family stay connected, St. Joseph’s Indian School offers comfortable family housing on campus on a first-come, first-served basis, where parents, siblings, and extended family members can stay at no cost during visits. These welcoming spaces give your family the opportunity to cook meals together, celebrate special occasions, play games, watch movies, and simply enjoy time with one another.
By providing family housing, we’re able to make visits more accessible throughout the school year, helping your child maintain strong family connections while they’re away from home. Families who would like to schedule a visit can work with their Family Service Counselor to reserve accommodations. Call 605-234-3274.
