Hóčhoka
Stories and Conversations from the Heart of St. Joseph’s Indian School
Hochoka is our podcast where you can explore important topics in Native American education, all from the heart of St. Joseph’s Indian School. We invite you to watch our video podcast series, where we shine a light on the people and ideas that make our school feel like family.
Discover all that our school has to offer. You’ll hear from inspiring leaders in Native American education, and you’ll find moments to laugh, hope, and warm your heart right at the center of our camp circle.
The Lakota word Hóčhoka (emphasis on the first syllable) means the center of the camp circle. The name reflects the actual location of the recording studio at the heart of campus, the centrality of St. Joseph’s Indian School’s mission to all that we do, and the podcast’s role at the center of the Native American educational conversation, bringing others together around it.
