Mentors

Caring Mentors
Every child deserves to have someone who believes in them. Through our Our Children Count Mentor Program, your child may be paired with a caring adult who provides encouragement, friendship, and one-on-one support. These meaningful relationships help students build confidence, discover their strengths, and know they always have someone cheering them on.
Our mentors are trained staff members from across St. Joseph’s Indian School, including teachers, counselors, administrators, and other team members. Each mentor is thoughtfully matched with a student based on shared interests, helping friendships grow naturally through activities like reading, sports, crafts, music, and other hobbies.
For some students, having another trusted adult can make a lasting difference. When extra encouragement or one-on-one support is needed, our mentor program provides a caring connection that helps your child feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
“Mentoring has been a very rewarding and fulfilling experience. It is a great way to connect with the students outside of the school and the home. I have truly enjoyed my years as a mentor.”
