The fall sports season included 6th-8th grade cross country, coached by Ron Byers and Ian Anderson; 6th-8th grade volleyball, coached by Jesse Brownell, Aran Anderson and Martina Hawk; 4th-6th grade football, coached by Evan Fleury, Coleman Caldwell and Stephen Chatman; and 7th/8th grade football, coached by Trond Peterson and Brody Mathey.
Throughout the season, students competed with determination and pride while representing St. Joseph’s on the course, court and field. Awards were presented to recognize leadership, improvement, athletic achievement and positive contributions to their teams.
“Each fall is full of energy in and around the Rec Center,” said Bryan Rinehart, recreation coordinator at St. Joseph’s Indian School. “The kids are back on campus and full of excitement, ready to compete in organized team sports. We had several great team accomplishments throughout the fall and topped it off with some nice individual awards at the end of the season.”
Rinehart said student-athletes take great pride in receiving the award shirts associated with the honors.
“The kids are always proud of the award shirts that they earn and wear them with pride as soon as they receive them,” he said. “The smiles on their faces say it all.”
