St. Joseph’s Indian School Recreation Center was built in 1975. The structure houses a high-school sized basketball court, weight room, pool, game room, individual and small-group fitness room, concession stand, office and locker space.
Planning for the Future
In an era when so many elementary educational institutions are cutting back on physical education and healthy activity, St. Joseph’s Indian School’s holistic approach to student health and wellness spurs us on to the process of updating our Rec Center.
The school recently contracted Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture to guide the process of determining what to include, renovate or rebuild in planning the future of our Rec Center. The firm will examine the condition of the existing building, determine short- and long-term programming goals and evaluate the cost of renovation versus new construction.
